Physical Description: Neville is tall, and for someone of his age still moves a little awkwardly, though it’s getting better. He has been described as round-faced, and he has brown hair that is usually untidily overgrown.

Despite this, he has a cheerful, open face that usually causes people to trust him instinctively. His brown eyes usually appear thoughtful, but occasionally, when he thinks no one is watching, sad.

Personality:
In the recent years, Neville’s inward and outward confidence has grown considerably. The responsibility of running the DA plucked at his adventurous, rebellious side until it took over for a while. He can be selflessly brave but most of the time feels himself to be inadequate. This has mostly to do with his upbringing, as Augusta Longbottom always led him to believe that he was mostly useless. She has redeemed herself recently for the most part but he still carries the weight of the feeling that he has not had or will not have any real impact on the world.

To his friends he is a helpful ear or a shoulder to cry on, but he occasionally craves the lack of someone he can share himself with. On the other hand, he can be a lot of fun to be around. He sees a lot more than people think, too. He has a mean streak when it comes to followers of Voldemort – as far as he can see it, people like Bellatrix Lestrange destroyed his life and his childhood.

Relationship history: A few girls made themselves known to Neville after the war. It was a bit overwhelming for him; after years of being ignored and laughed at, suddenly actual girls wanted to be with him, Neville, the hero of the Battle of Hogwarts. Nothing serious came of any of it, mainly due to Augusta's insistence that he not 'take advantage' of any girl he didn't plan to marry. Of course, what she didn't know couldn't hurt her... but Neville found it hard to engage in a serious relationship with a girl who didn't really know him.
